Autumn is the season of Halloween, falling temperatures, and evenings spent cozied-up on the couch. It’s also the time of year people go crazy for a certain gourd-flavored coffee drink. The pumpkin spiced latte is the signature fall beverage that everyone loves – or loves to hate. Either way, we think you’ll dig this cannabis latte version of the famous fall-flavored treat. It’s a fun way to incorporate more cannabis into your seasonal festivities, and it’s delicious!
A cannabis-infused pumpkin spiced latte will warm your heart with the flavor of cinnamon and pumpkin spices while stimulating your mind with the kick of caffeine and cannabis. Plus, this sweet and creamy homemade treat has much healthier ingredients than the syrupy concoctions served at many cafes.

Cannabis Latte Ingredients
- 1 Cup Canna-Milk (see below)
- ¼ Cup Espresso or Strongly Brewed Coffee
- 2 Tbsp Canned Pumpkin
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- ¼ Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
- ¼ Tsp Vanilla Extract
Canna-Milk Ingredients
- Milk
Both dairy and plant-based milk works. Keep in mind that fat content is important because THC needs to bind with fat to be effective. Aim for milk with at least 3g of fat for best results. The more fat, the better.
- Decarboxylated Cannabis
The general guidelines are 0.5 – 1.0 gram of flower per quart of milk, but the dose and strain are up to you. It’s always a good idea to calculate how much THC you’ll be consuming.
Step One: Make the Milk
Add the milk and ground cannabis into a saucepan and set on the stove over medium-low heat. Let it simmer for an hour, whisking occasionally. DO NOT let it boil.
Strain the canna-milk through cheesecloth to remove the plant matter. Use the milk immediately or pour it into a jar to be stored in the refrigerator.
Step Two: Heat It
After straining the milk, pour it back into the saucepan and whisk in the canned pumpkin, pumpkin spice, sugar, and vanilla. Heat mixture while stirring until it gets very hot. DO NOT boil.
Step Three: Mix It
To mix you can continue to use a hand whisk or an immersion blender. You can also add the mixture to a blender. Keep mixing until it’s nice and frothy.
Step Four: Build It
- Pour your freshly made hot coffee into your favorite large mug.
- Add the milk mixture, and voila!
- Enjoy as-is or garnish with whipped cream, ground nutmeg, or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
And there you have it! No crowds, no lines, no weird syrups. Just a perfectly delicious pumpkin spiced latte infused with your favorite feel-good botanical. We can’t think of a better way to enjoy a breezy fall afternoon.
